چکیده
Global energy consumption has led to concerns about potential supply problems, and growing environmental impacts. This paper comprehensively provides a detailed assessment of current studies on the subject building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) technology in net-zero buildings (NZEBs). The review is validated through various case studies, which highlight significance factors such as surface area volume ratio (A/V), window-wall (WWR), glass solar heating gain coefficient (SHGC), others achieving NZEBs standards. In addition, this article draws following conclusions: (1) use renewable achieve efficiency carbon neutrality. (2) implementation, however, some limitations, including negligence indoor conditions analysis, household thermal comfort, absence an demand monitoring system. (3) Most researchers advise supplementing facade window BIPV solely roofing will not be able meet building’s electricity usage. (4) Combining with (BIST), considering esthetics geometry, enhances outcomes helps NZEB criteria. (5) designs should follow standards learn from successful cases. However, ascertain long-term reliability structural integrity systems, comprehensive study their degradation mechanisms over extended periods imperative. aims examine applications in-depth, underscoring its pivotal role attaining benchmark.
